Once you find your passion, throw your life to it.

I have read it from a blog and somehow made me think again about my life. Questions pour out from my half full, half empty head. I begin to ask myself, what is my ultimate passion in my life? What is the only thing that excites me? What is it that when I do it, my heart beats faster and faster. What is it that when I do it, I wouldn't mind the time? What is it really, Shean?

So, I begin to search for answers. I begin to bring back all the memories from the past. I begin to enumerate some things that I have fun when I do it.

The first on my list is writing. Not because it is the first thing that I really love to do but because this is what I am doing right now. Writing has been part of my life. I enjoy writing but not to the extent that I would throw my life on it. I have poor writing skills but if ever I would be given a chance, I would really like to write a book.

Aside from writing, I also love solving problems. Yes, that’s what I want. There are times I over think of solutions to some of the problems this country is encountering. I am addicted in finding the root cause of all recurring problems here in my workplace yet still don’t have the voice for it. Aside from it, I have enjoyed doing all of my college projects where we find solutions to the host company’s problems. Maybe I didn’t really hit the target most of the time, but I have fun doing it. For me, research is cool.

Third might be my passion in sharing the gospel to other people. I want everyone to know how God loves each one of us that He sends his Son Jesus Christ in the cross for us to have freedom from sins. I love to speak and tell others how great my God is in transforming my life. Working for Christ and for the great commission is something that makes my heart beats faster.  I don’t know why but I want to be in a short term missions someday. Or at least lead a group of people in their spiritual walk just like what I did during my college days. Serving the Lord through ministries is one of the most beautiful things that I want to do.

So, there you go. Those are my passion. Looking in what I am doing right now, I think I’m not throwing my life to it. And this realization alarmed me. Should I pursue what I want right now or wait until the right season has come?  Maybe I’ll wait a little more, and while waiting, I’ll start in small steps. Because by doing so means I am throwing my life to what my passion is.
