After office last friday, I go to to UP and attend the pre-valentine youth service. Love is in the air as I enter the place. Ushers are wearing black and dress, Nomer, Babes and Glenn preach a message about purity and original love songs composed and played by our music place makes me feel that love is just around the corner.
The youth service is not the highlight why it is a sweet night. It was actually the date that I have with ate sharon and some churchmates after youth service. We went to a chocolate buffet:
(LARC-EN-CIEL DE CHOCOLAT: A MASQUERADE OF WAITING)
Feb 12, 2010 8:00 pm College of Home Economics
Rum Chocolate truffles
Fiery Peach squares
Flourless white chocolate cake
English trifle
Tempura Fudge Brownies
White chocolate strawberry shortcake
...And many more
It is indeed a masquerade of waiting; we've wait for almost an hour before we have our turn in the buffet. I know that as an Industrial engineering, waiting is considered as a waste. However, the good thing about waiting that night is it enables me to meet and make friends with new people. I got a chance to tell and hear stories from the people I rarely talk to in the church. I got to know Kuya H, Ate Maan, Ate Aya, Likha, Jon and other youths in our church.
After the long time of waiting, Ate sharon and I got a separate table. We've shared stories while we eat and taste everything in the chocolate buffet.
My favorite among the choices is rum chocolate truffle. I find its taste different among the other chocolates.
I know that the chocolates are sweet but what really makes the night more sweeter is the dinner itself with my sister in Christ. I thank God for a very sweet ate in church.
